Our Mission is focused on promoting healthy and safe behaviors within a culturally diverse community by continuing the efforts to prevent substance use, violence, school failure, and juvenile delinquency among youth.
The Gloucester Prevention Alliance (GPA) is seeking individuals interested in preventing underage drinking, tobacco use, suicide, and drug use, reduce teen pregnancy, violence, gangs, juvenile delinquency, bullying, and school failure.
Volunteer members review programs, policies, practices & procedures related to youth services and recruit organizations or groups to assist. The GPA also fosters relationships between parents, youth, communities, schools, faith based organizations, civic groups, and the business community. The GPA is currently working on a new meeting schedule to accommodate our busy active community citizens and members.

Thank you NJROTC from Gloucester High School for coming out to support Project Sticker Shock May 30, 2009 at the Gloucester Wal-Mart Super Center. Our bright green t-shirts supplied by the RVUC , a partner with the MP-NN Community Services Board, held attention all on its own. It took us about an hour to place stickers on all packaged alcoholic beverages in both Spanish and English that stated :Know the Law, PREVENT UNDERAGE DRINKING! It is illegal for any person 21 or older to purchase or provide alcohol to minors. Fines are up to $2,500 or 1 year in jail. Report violations to the ABC anonymous hotline 1-800-552-3200 or send e-mail to enforcement@abc.state.va.us
